2.  Create one image that uses hand(s) as the primary subject.  Your task is to create an engaging composition that is organized either geometrically or organically, and makes use of contrasting positive and negative space.  Your overarching question is:  What can a hand mean, and how can you convey your deeper meaning visually?
Explore the following sites and make notes, plans, thumbnails and sketches to consider and reject a multitude of ideas.  The sites are to give you an idea- remember that you do not need to plagiarize another's idea.

Do not necessarily settle for your first idea.  You should explore at least 3-5 ideas before settling on one and beginning to refine and fine tune your ideas.  Create one complete research spread in your art journal before beginning your final design.

Your 2d artwork should elicit emotion from your viewer.  Hands can convey strength, weakness, exhaustion, delicacy, craftsmanship, age, fear, nervousness, friendship, vitality, mission, healing, energy, age, action, spirituality, or any number of things.
