How to Create a One-Pager
This assignment allows you to create an artistic response to your research of an artist and his or her work. This is a way to communicate your understanding of the life and work of the artist in a unique way, without spitting back information directly from the internet. Creating an art journal artist research spread allows you to be imaginative, honest, experimental, and expressive while showcasing what you have learned.
Read the following activities and pay attention to what is required and what is optional. Use a lot of color and pattern to illustrate your thoughts and ideas clearly and creatively. IMPORTANT- USE YOUR OWN WORDS!!!
(SEE EXAMPLES BELOW)
TITLE your page appropriately to reflect the content.
Use colored pens, pencils, paint, or oil pastels. Be careful if using markers as they might bleed through the paper. The title should go across the top of both pages or down the side of one of the pages.
Create a decorative border using the artwork you are studying as inspiration.
