To become fully comfortable with the range of possibilities in watercolor painting, view the videos before you begin experimenting.  

Art Journal Project: 
​
Create a sample page of watercolor techniques in your visual journal.  Your sample page must include 9 thumbnail experimentations with the following techniques:  salt, saran wrap, bubble wrap, rubbing alcohol, wet on wet, wet on dry, white crayon resist, Frisket, and Q-tip lifting.  Each thumbnail square must be neatly and lightly drawn with pencil on your watercolor paper.  Make sure to include notes and reflections about the properties of the watercolor paints (comparisons between brand names) etc.
