Journal Assignment:  Examine the works of Alexander Calder and create one page (left) with thumbnails of his work, and the other page (right) with a brief history of the sculptor, with emphasis on the body of work he left behind. Your journal spread should show STRONG EVIDENCE of planning and research!  If you need more than 2 pages go for it!

Research this Vocabulary :  Sculpture, Mobile, Stabile, Kinetic, Organic, Equilibrium.  What do the words mean?  Why/how are they important in Calder's work?
