Surrealism is an art style from the 1920's to the 1940's.  
Some of the elements of Surrealism include:
  • realistic items that are used out-of-place
  • unreal scenes
  • dreamlike images
  • unusual juxtapositions of objects
  • normal objects acting abnormally
  • fantastic creatures​​

Surrealism Assignment
FINAL DRAWING REQUIREMENTS:
1. Size: between 8x10 to 9x12 inches with a 1/2" border
2. Medium: your choice
3. Must include the following:
          a. One object/subject that is drawn from life
          b. One object/subject/area that is drawn from your imagination
          c. Accurate use of perspective (linear and/or atmospheric).  
          d. Wide range of values with lighting and/or color.
          e. Well-balanced compositional design.
  • Work to be handed-in:
  • 1. Word document: List of 10 ideas.
  • 2. 10-20 thumbnails
  • 3. Final art for Surreal, size between 8x10 and 9x12 with a 1/2" border
